Save Time. Save Money. Choose the Best.

You are reading the blog of NiceAdvice. Here, we share project news, discuss the challenges we face, and publish materials and interesting stories related to our project. In this post, I will try to elaborate on the problem we are solving, explain the essence of free consultations and why such information should be approached with caution.
Save Time. Save Money.
Many of us, including myself, grew up in a world where it was believed that it is better to do things yourself than pay someone else. As a result, we have many "useful" skills, the quality and relevance of which are questionable in today's world.
We think that choosing a faucet for the bathroom is simple. We spend days reading forums about materials and durability, studying articles on different types of faucets and their features, browsing manufacturers' catalogs in search of the perfect option in terms of color and shape, and reading reviews and comments, trying to figure out if all this information is real or just paid articles. In the end, after buying a faucet, we often return it because it didn’t fit, and start the process all over again. Or we fall for marketing tricks, fancy packaging, and low prices, resulting in a poor-quality product that quickly breaks down. Sound familiar?

I shared the story of my unsuccessful purchases, and the significant amounts of money wasted in the previous article. But this time could have been spent much more enjoyably: taking a walk outdoors, meeting friends, spending time with family, doing something you love, or tackling something you’ve long postponed. If you want to save money, isn’t it better to spend a few extra hours working in your area of expertise to earn more, thereby offsetting the cost of a specialist’s services?
Choose the Best.
When we go to a store, we often see expensive, beautiful products from well-known brands in the center of the display. The consultant (if you can find one) describes all their advantages (if you are lucky and they are knowledgeable), additional features, and warranty periods, trying to justify the high price. They assure you that this product is the best of all and will definitely meet your needs. Well, that might be true, but there are a few questions:
- 1. The best in terms of what? The manufacturer? The display? The store? Perhaps it’s still not good enough, and the salesperson is pushing this product simply because they have no other options.
- 2. Do you really need the best, or is it sufficient to have the best that meets your needs? Sometimes such a product is half or even a third of the price.
- 3. Sometimes the best (according to the salesperson) is just old stock that the store needs to sell. Or it’s an outdated product that they need to clear from the display.

You cannot fully trust the advice of salespeople who are interested in selling products because their salary depends not on you getting what you really need, but on making as many expensive sales as possible. 🤷♂️
Experts at NiceAdvice are personal brands with specific reputations. Each of them strives to provide quality consultations, as their reputation and, consequently, their income depend on it (you probably wouldn’t want to receive a consultation from an expert rated 2). In the future, based on the consultation results, the expert will fill out a special form, and all the information will be collected together and made available for your review at any time in a convenient format.
Our Benefit
We will be happy if, thanks to our application, people have more time for family or favorite activities; if specialists who have lost their jobs or are unable to work can monetize their knowledge and perhaps even find new clients; if the work and professionalism of consultants are finally appreciated individually and fairly compensated; if as a result of the consultation, you gain new valuable contacts. 🙂
Options for what to do with your free time
Currently, using the platform is free for everyone (except ourselves 🙈). In the future, we plan to introduce a paid subscription for experts (we’re business after all 🙂). We do not yet know how much it will cost, as the amount will depend on how much NiceAdvice experts can earn through consultations.
At NiceAdvice, we strive to create conditions that allow you to spend less time searching for and verifying information, and more time on useful and enjoyable activities. Thank you for your attention, and we hope this information was helpful to you!
